Dementia Coordinator

The Dementia Coordinator has a crucial role to play in helping to keep and raise the standards of care and quality of life of our residents. We are looking for someone who can work closely with the registered nursing staff and provide good line management and leadership to a team of carers.

  • NVQ Level 3 in Care (or equivalent)

  • Experience of managing a care staff rota

Healthcare Assistant Days (Full time/Part time) £8.20 per hour

About you:

Role and Responsibilities: To provide care for our Residents under the guidance and supervision of the Home Manager, trained nursing staff and senior care assistants; and to undertake other activities to assist in the running of the Home as required.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required:

Essential: Genuine interest in working within a caring environment. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Team Player. A willingness to participate in vocational training programmes. Satisfactory police check and check against the DBS Adult first list (where applicable). A basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act and Infection Control.

Desirable but not essential: Previous experience of working in a care setting. Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved or working towards). Evidence of having undertaken relevant training (i.e. lifting and handling, health and safety, food hygiene etc.)
