Today marked a very special moment in our lives as our residents received their second round of vaccinations against the Covid-19 virus.
Blenheim House successfully helped our residents with their first round of vaccinations on the 7th January 2021, our teams have worked extremely hard, in partnership with Spa Medical Centre, Giffords Surgery and D+M Gompels, in preparation of todays event.
Home Manager, Mirko Ridolfo said of the days event; “Today marks our second phase of vaccinations against the Covid-19 virus. A momentous occasion that was made possible by the amazing NHS service and Majesticare working in partnership to keep us and our families safe.
The vaccines have the potential to bring back normality to our lives, meaning we can eventually see our families, hug our loved ones and simply enjoy each others company again”
Our Care and Activities Teams provided comfort and support to all of our residents, spending time to reassure them and ensure the day has gone smoothly.
Our residents received their Pfizer-BioNTech and AstraZeneca injections today, depending on the brand of their first vaccine. Each received a certificate and sticker , these will go into their Life Story albums, a memento of such an important day in all of our lives.
Once residents received their injections, entertainment was provided by Celebrating Age Wiltshire in the form of a delightful musical video by local performer Francesca K.
We would like to thank Melksham Older Persons Team (below) for their wonderfully efficient service and communication.
