This month we said a “Goodbye until we meet again” to our General Manager Mirko Ridolfo and welcomed Rachel Stoneman at the helm at Blenheim House.
This exciting new direction sees Mirko (above left) remaining with Majesticare, and Rachel (above right) continuing her excellent work, previously at our sister home The Mount, here with us in Melksham.
With Mirko returning to his home country of Sicily, we threw a huge party, thanking him for three incredible years at the helm of Blenheim House.
Our Catering Team created a beautifully Italian themed cake whilst Mirko and our residents enjoyed an afternoon of games and singing. The man of the moment also led a rousing rendition of “My Way” before saying “Arrivederci” to every resident across our Residential, Dementia and Nursing communities.
We asked Mirko about his time at Blenheim House during his daily rounds meeting our residents;
“I have always considered caring for our residents to be an absolute privilege. Always, at the forefront of my actions has been the health, safety and happiness of our residents, their families and our colleagues. I have learnt so much during my time managing Blenheim House, from my early days I have always been grateful to have received such a warm welcome from residents and relatives alike. I’d like to thank everyone for their continued support, especially throughout this last very extraordinary and challenging year.”

Mirko Continued: “It has also been my absolute pleasure to have assisted our teams during their unique journeys at Blenheim, with many of our staff earning promotions into new roles and others continuing their professional development though advanced qualifications.
I will remain with Majesticare in a commissioning role and now confidently hand over the reigns of the home to the highly skilled Rachel Stoneman, whom I know will guide our home toward continued success and excellence in care.”
“We have achieved great results in my 3 years at Blenheim House. The service has been rated Good by the CQC, whilst the occupancy and client satisfaction have significantly increased. Blenheim House can now boast a great reputation within the local community and institutions. The Blenheim Team is a stable one, with many of our staff achieving academic qualification following the Majesticare Training and Development Programme. I am proud to say that our staff have acquired skills and knowledge that are fundamental to ensure a delivery of care that reflects the highest of standards.”
And whilst he may not be at Blenheim House permanently we wish him every success in his new role with Majesticare and look forward to seeing him at the home soon!
This heralds in the exciting appointment of Rachel Stoneman who also brings with her an exceptional pedigree in care. Having managed our sister home The Mount in Reading she now embarks on a fresh adventure with us at Blenheim House. Welcome Rachel!
