Arts & Crafts

We are consistently amazed by the skills that our residents develop or rekindle and we encourage them to continue existing hobbies, to develop existing skills and try new activities.

Games Galore

Board games are popular no matter what age you are – whether it’s Scrabble, Snakes & Ladders or Trivial Pursuit – at Blenheim House we love an evening of healthy competition during our games nights.

Outdoor Activities

We are very proud of our allotment at Blenheim House where the gardening club donate their produce back into the community. We’ve also enjoyed competitions to design ‘bee homes’ as well as encouraging residents to notice nature through our wildlife photography competitions.

Fresh, delicious food and drink

A healthy and nutritious diet is crucial for your wellbeing, and it’s safe to say our chefs know exactly how to deliver a well-balanced meal. As well as catering to all dietary requirements, our chefs also enjoy creating dishes specially requested by our residents.

Staying Active

It is widely understood that keeping active is not just good for your physical health, but your mental wellbeing too. For this reason physical fitness is just as important in the elderly. Not only that, but research suggests greater fitness levels in the elderly help with preventing falls and dementia.

At Blenheim House we encourage residents to partake in regular exercise classes, or even offer private classes if that is preferred. As well as the fantastic care provided by our in-house teams, we have regular visits from the local GP, physiotherapists, chiropodists, dentists and opticians. We ensure all residents have access to the specialist care they need, from the comfort of our home.
