The ‘Sparkle for Social Care’ initiative is a fun project to show those who care for society’s most vulnerable that they are valued and appreciated. Almost 2 million care workers are currently looking after the most vulnerable people in the UK, so we thought we would go the extra mile and do a “knock and run” gift giving morning to help a local vulnerable children’s home.
Below: A short article from the local news
Using part of our usual journey to work and careful social distancing measures we “delivered” toys, sports and arts equipment as well as therapeutic gifts for the young people at Haresfield Care Home. In return they sent us some lovely artwork which our residents enjoyed and will form part of the art exhibition we are planning later in the year.
We made a film of the project which has, at the time of publishing, been viewed by over 2000 people so please have a watch and give it a like and a share on your social media!
