Blenheim House is pleased to help a new service designed to make it easier for people to make video calls to friends and family.
The service launched by Age Friendly Melksham CIC will see a team of volunteers recruited who will take an iPad to a user’s home and set up a video call to family or friends for them. All performed in accordance to sanitisation and social distancing measures.
Our Communities & Lifestyle Liaison , Chris Guest explains, “ Blenheim House is proud to donate an Ipad for Age Friendly Melksham CIC, which will help isolated people within our community contact their loved ones. One of our core values is Family, and the initiative, called Face2Face,will certainly help families stay connected. Our care home has excelled in helping families stay in touch, be it via our Family Visiting Room, our safe garden spaces and a multitude of video calling platforms. We look forward to a fruitful partnership with Age Friendly Melksham CIC in 2021.”
Jon Hubbard, Chair of Age Friendly Melksham, continued, “We are particularly grateful to Blenheim House Care Home who generously donated to the project and have made this affordable for us to deliver, and also to the fantastic volunteers who give up their time to make this service available to residents in our community.”
Anyone who lives in the Melksham community area can request use of the service. To make a referral or to book a call simply call 01225 809265 or register online at https://agefriendlymelksham.org.uk/face2face
